I’ve come in for several weeks in a row to resolve an issue re: disabled access to my phone’s data, which includes disabled access to apps, web search & iMessage without wifi. I’ve been sent back and forth from the Apple store and AT&T, with no resolution in sight to this day regardless of getting a new plan and new phone today. The interdepartmental coordination of on-site technical support & customer service has been quite subpar and offensive as sales attempts to upgrade service and add services have been incessant in spite of the problem continuing and the process by which to resolve it being convoluted & arduous. I am seriously reconsidering service with AT&T for the future and will be sharing this experience with associates, friends and family to deter them from this lack of customer care or corporate organization.
I had to visit this store to activate a replacement iPhone with my number. They activated the iPhone, but also added a $17/mo insurance plan to my account without my permission. I assume the sales rep makes a commission by doing so. Very sneaky, and it took me a year to notice it. I recommend avoiding AT&T retail stores in general, and this one in particular. Pay close attention to your bill if you do.
Worked with Alex yesterday activating my service. I had to port a number over from Xfinity - a plan I joined because of introductory rates - and absolutely hated the moment I started using their service. Going back to ATT was a breeze and thank you Alex for making it so easy, being patient and working quickly to get all of my problems solved. I never felt rushed or upsold, excellent customer service.
I am so confused by the experience I had yesterday. Showed up at 5:15 (45 mins before closing) and the door was locked. There was one employee in the store with 2-3 people, and 1 employee sitting in his car in front of the store. The car employee gets out and says that’ll be the other guy’s last customer, then they’re doing a shift change right after he finishes his lunch break (multiple things about that make zero sense - shift change less than an hour before the store closes? Lunch break at 5:15pm?). He says they’ll reopen at 5:30. I’m annoyed having to wait but my phone is broken so I have no choice. The people in the store leave, and the two employees lock the store and drive off together in the same car. I waited outside until about 5:45/5:50, and when they still didn’t show up, I gave up and went home. I doubt they ever showed back up. I ended up ubering to a different store location the next day. I guess the employees at this location just think their jobs are a joke and that people are showing up for fun and not because they actually need help with their phones. Horrible experience, hope I never have to go back here.
Be careful at this location. They lie to you and upsell you. The lifetime screen protector is not ($45) lifetime and cracks without dropping it and it’s $9 for a new one, which they don’t tell you. They took my trade in phone and “ran out of receipt paper” and I also never got the email. They told me to come back in to speak to their manager (in two weeks)…. To get a receipt. Who knows where my trade in phone is, they could’ve pocketed it and sold it. Go buy your new phone directly from the company not through the att store. Really sick that this is how this company runs.
